Vocations
The Call to Holy Orders is a sacred vocation given to us by God Himself.  In being called to the diaconate or priesthood, we are asked to proclaim the Gospel and to dispense God's grace through the administration of the Sacraments.

Saint John Vianney tells us:
Without the priest, the passion and death of our Lord would be of no avail.  It is the priest who continues the work of redemption here on earth ... What use would be a house filled with gold, were there no one to open its door?  The priest holds the key to the treasures of heaven: it is he who opens the door: the priest is the steward of the good Lord; the administrator of God’s goods ... The priest is not a priest for themself, they are a priest for you.
In ordained ministry, our calling is not a natural one, but a supernatural one.  It is a divine and intimate relationship that we have with God.

Becoming a priest or deacon takes time and education.  We have a little or no cost distance learning formation program set up which can be balanced with a full time secular job if need be.  You will be supported spiritually through the process by National Catholic Church of North America Clergy.

In The National Catholic Church of North America, we are “Worker Priests,” meaning we serve as priests on a volunteer basis, and maintain other employment as a source of income.  Our rewards are in the next life, not this.

We know from experience that God calls individuals to serve his people from every walk of life, be they male, female, or transgender; gay, bi, or straight; married or single; or perhaps your life hasn't taken the "ideal" path.  Regardless, we're eager to talk to you and help you to discern your vocation.

If you have been a priest of another jurisdiction of the Independent Sacramental Movement, or the Church of Rome and are looking for a new home in which to live your vocation, we're here to help you as well.
